Benny Agbyani, a former Major Leaguer most noted for his contribution to the New York Mets World Series team in the early 2000′s is currently playing in Japan.  Watch this video on the crowd chanting for Benny.  Not everyday does an entire country create a chant for you. Wes Littleton, Samoan native who has played on the American Samoa National Baseball team, currently was located playing at a high level winter baseball league in Puerto Rico.  Major League players often play here along with young prospects as well as minor leaguers being groomed for the big show. The American Samoa National Olympic Committee have agreed to accept help from the IBAF. The American Samoa National Olympic Committee president Ben Solaita and Parks & Recreation Director Semo Ve’ave’a have agreed to accept help from the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) and its regional branch, the Oceania Baseball Confederation. FUKUOKA (Kyodo) The Softbank Hawks have acquired outfielder Chris Aguila and right-hander Brian Falkenborg, the Pacific League club said Sunday. The 29-year-old Aguila is a .230 career hitter with three home runs and 16 RBIs in 149 major league games over four seasons with the Florida Marlins and New York Mets. SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Mariners signed top draft pick Matt Tuiasosopo on Friday. Tuiasosopo was selected in the third round of last month’s draft, the 93rd overall pick.
