If you’re not up on game with the MMA/UFC circuit then you probably haven’t seen the two samoan crushers go at it.  But lucky for all of us there’s YouTube.  Check out the footage of these two go at it as their fight was deemed and promoted quite heavily in the K1 circuit because of the tremendous skill they both possess as well as the iron chin they both were born with.  Take your pick and watch who gives who a punishing.  Don’t mind the foreign language commentary, they don’t fight in the United States MMA but they fight in Japan.  Either way, the fight...

As a young boy growing up in Samoa, John Schwalger thought it was “normal” to be slapped by his parents. But the Hurricanes star is hoping to break the cycle by taking an anti-domestic violence message back to his homeland. Ten members of the Wellington Lions and Hurricanes squads were honoured by Police Commissioner Howard Broad yesterday for their campaigning under a joint police and New Zealand Aid programme aimed at preventing violence. In November, the rugby stars were in Samoa using their public profiles to tell children and adult men that violence in the home must...

New Zealand has been bundled out of the Wellington Sevens after suffering a shock 14-24 loss to Samoa in the Cup semi-finals. Uale Mai scored a hat-trick as Samoa outscored the home side by four tries to two. New Zealand’s defence had been so strong coming into the match but it slipped off too many tackles early in the game and was made to pay the price. Mai was the beneficiary in the opening minutes and although New Zealand took a 7-5 lead into the break thanks to a converted try for Tim Mikkelson it never looked in control. An intercept pass from Sherwin Stowers was gratefully...
